A Frozen Luxury: The Perfect Frozen Yogurt Treat

Do have that one luxury that you just need to indulge in when you visit your hometown? I know I do! Well, ok, maybe I have a few hometown luxuries, but a visit to Newport Creamery is always on the top of my list.
Newport Creamery has been a part of Rhode Island’s history for 80 years and has grown from a small wholesale milk distributor to a restaurant chain with 13 locations throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and, of course, dessert! Growing up it was the go to spot after father-daughter dances and later junior high and high school dances, so I have had my fair share of experience with Newport Creamery and know my favorite menu items by heart. Some of the best include their Oreo Awful Awful (their tasty and unique take on a milk shake) and their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Yogurt.
This trip I decided to go with the frozen yogurt, and I was not disappointed! The chocolate frozen yogurt with peanut butter swirls and chunks of peanut butter cups is more than just delicious; it is like heaven in a bowl, and it is locally made so you know it’s the best! It certainly brought back some great childhood memories, and it tasted just as good as a back in the day.
Their prices are more than reasonable and two scoops were only $2.99.
If you’re ever in Rhody, I definitely suggest giving this frozen luxury a try!
